Archaeology isn't all about excavating during the summer months - there is plenty of other work to keep us occupied, though it isn't always possible to do this during or immediately following an excavation. These photos show one particular session held on 31st March 2007, when we hired a church hall and sorted, catalogued and boxed finds which included large numbers of items from our Northgate, Rochester excavation. Interestingly, some of them had been wrapped in an Independent newspaper which was dated 31st March 1987 - exactly 20 years ago to the day!
